We are a team of five proud York residents – Emma, Jill, Lewis, Aysë, and Renza – and members of End of Life Doula UK. Together, we bring a variety of skills, experiences, and personalities, united by a shared purpose: to support our community in approaching death, dying, and grief with compassion, honesty, and strength.

We aim to work alongside community teams and local groups, helping to build stronger, more resilient communities that have the knowledge and confidence to choose, care, and support one another at the end of life and in the time that follows, when grief and loneliness may take hold.

We are passionate about encouraging open conversations around death and dying, and about helping individuals and families to face death differently. As doulas, we provide non-judgmental, client-focused care for anyone—whether as silent companions, by holding space when needed, or by facilitating tender conversations that may otherwise feel difficult. We structure our care around the unique needs of each person and, when required, step forward as advocates to ensure that voices are heard and wishes respected.

Our training equips us to assist with advance care planning, living wills, funeral planning, and legacy projects, offering both practical and emotional support.
