End of Life Doula Support
How Can an End of Life Doula Help?
We work alongside medical and care professionals, filling gaps where extra support is needed, in clinical settings such as hospitals, hospices and care homes or at home.
Our support is tailored to each person’s needs and wishes, and can include:
Emotional Support – Being present, listening, and offering reassurance to our client and those important to them
Advocacy – Ensuring wishes are heard and respected by those involved in their care.
Practical Assistance – Helping with advance planning documentation and coordinating other services.
Companionship – Sitting with the person, talking with them, and helping them feel less alone. Or being present when their loved ones need a break.
After Death Support – Offering guidance and comfort to families after the person has died, including supporting care of the body, support with death registration paperwork, and funeral planning.

Planning Ahead
"Ignorance and fear of death overshadows life, while knowing and accepting death erases this shadow”, Lily Pincus
Planning ahead can be a meaningful way to reduce stress for both you and your loved ones, ensuring your wishes are respected and creating a sense of peace for everyone involved.
We can support you with:
Advance care planning / Living Will – recording your wishes for future care and treatment.
Life legacy work – capturing memories, stories, or messages to leave for loved ones.
Personal funeral planning – advising or assisting you in creating a funeral plan that reflects your values and wishes.
Guidance with essential documents – offering advice or support in preparing the paperwork that may be needed at the end of life.

Community: Workshops, talks, events
We offer educational sessions to open up honest conversations and strengthen community confidence around death and dying. We cover topics such as:
Advance planning – understanding choices and making arrangements ahead of time.
Talking about death and mortality – creating safe spaces for open, supportive discussion.
The role of end of life doulas – how we work alongside individuals, families, and care institutions.
Building compassionate communities – encouraging networks that are better prepared to support people at the end of life.
These sessions help individuals, families, and organisations feel more confident, connected, and equipped to care for one another when it matters most.
